Cho Long Kim NMD

Dr. Cho Long Kim is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor and a Primary Care Physician licensed in the state of Arizona.  Dr. Kim earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ in 2008. Her medical training encompassed an extensive curriculum that elegantly merged every aspect of conventional and ancient natural medical practices. Prior to medical school, she earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biochemistry from The University of California, Riverside.

Her scope of practice has included Environmental Medicine, Pharmacology, Minor Surgery, Homeopathy, Nutrition, Acupuncture, Botanical medicine, and Physical manipulation. In addition, she has over 10 years in the treatment of substance abuse detoxing and healing. She utilizes a combination of naturopathic and allopathic modalities to support the healing process already occurring in our divine bodies. She stays actively involved in multiple research projects in integrative care to ensure that every therapy treatment offered at Scottsdale Sober Companion continues to be safe, effective, and on the cutting edge of science. In her free time, she enjoys making music, yoga, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Regina Shakespeare LPN, LMT, BCPP, CST

Regina brings her first-hand sensitivity to the complicated issues of physical, mental and emotional pain. After two spinal surgeries, the loss of a loved one and a divorce she was propelled into a period of suffering and addiction. Regina sought holistic and alternative treatments after the medical community could no longer help her heal and her journey through addiction recovery began.

She has been using her modality as a healing practitioner utilizing her education in Polarity and Cranial Sacral therapies in the substance abuse treatment industry for over 2 years. She is acutely aware that our emotions and mental patterns along with addictions directly affect the body the physical and spiritual levels. During her therapies, she assists people to go deep into their bodies, mind and soul to process through stagnant energy allowing them the motivation and skill to make changes in their life’s so they can discover the beauty of who they really are and who they are meant to be.

Nancy Harkins, LPC

Nancy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed, by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in professional counseling. I am EMDR trained through EMDRIA and certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy/Equine Assisted Learning through EAGALA.

Nancy has more than 10 years’ experience working with substance use, abuse and addition as well as trauma/PTSD. She is EMDR trained. This is a simple non-invasive intervention frequently used to address these issues and many more. Additionally, Nancy is a specialize in effective/assertive communication skills and anger management as well as practice narrative (talk) therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.

She enjoys serving a diverse population of clients including individual adults and couples of all ages. Nancy has extensive experience in the field of addiction and supporting those in addressing underlying issues that have contributed to their addiction.

Dana Gagnier

Dana Gagnier LC, CCtH is a professional Phoenix sober companion with the credentials and experience required to develop a program custom tailored for you. These include:

  • Business AOS from Mesa Community College
  • Transformational Psychology AOS from Southwest College of Healing Arts in Tempe
  • 140 hours certificate in Life Coaching from Southwest College of Healing Arts in Tempe
  • Clinically certified Hypnotherapist from Southwest College of Healing Arts in Tempe
  • Private practitioner since 2010
  • Retreat facilitator
  • Works in the substance abuse treatment industry for 7 years

In her 27 years of personal recovery in addiction and co-dependency, Dana has refined her skills while helping countless other people discover the many benefits of a clean and sober life. Dana is also an artist, a writer, an intuitive group facilitator, and motivational speaker.

Every member of our Scottsdale Sober Companion team are all living in recovery. We believe that this is the best way to help people like you who are striving toward a more healthy, happy sober life. The only way you can be healthy is if your sober companion is healthy, and we are good at what we do because we did the hard work required to get where we are today.

Our entire Scottsdale sober companions regularly attends meetings, focuses on team building, effective communication, and community lifestyle support. A key part of the recovery lifestyle is learning to better yourself every day. Our role is to help you achieve these same goals, so that you can experience a rewarding life filled with joy.
